AMANAC was incorporated the 6th of August, 1987 with the goal of having a real institution that stands for the Shipping Agents’ interests, but overall that could represent them before authorities, service providers, unions, etc.

The shipping agencies that founded AMANAC and believed in this project where: Agencias Generales Marítimas, S.A. de C.V., Agencias Marítimas Latino Americanas, S.A. de C.V., Agencia Marítima Mexicana, S.A. de C.V., Agencia Naviera de México, S.A. de C.V., Línea Mexicana del Pacifico, S.A., Kawasaki Kisen de México, S.A de C.V. and Representaciones Portuarias Progreso. S.A. de C.V.
