AMANAC was incorporated as an institution devoted to the defense of the shipping agents' interests, representing them before national and international authorities, service providers, unions, associations and chambers.
Likewise, the Association has provided to their partners specialized consultancy in legal, economic and administrative matters, as well as technical support and many other activities for the maritime sector. Also, the Association has been a reference in maritime studies and training for members of the transportation sector and international maritime commerce.
AMANAC outstands as a service and consultancy organization that, besides from providing services to its members, has the policy of serving all the parties involved with maritime transportation and foreign trade.
Nowadays, AMANAC stands for the most important Shipping Agents in Mexico, who represent 95% of all national and foreign ships that call at Mexican ports, carrying importation, exportation merchandize and passengers.
Since the implementation of the Mexican automated manifest system and the 24 hours advance manifest rule, several freight forwarders and NVOCCs requested AMANAC's services for the electronic transmission of the House Bills of Lading; AMANAC presently provides this service to 82 freight forwarders and NVOCCs. AMANAC has also represented these companies before Mexican Customs authorities on this matter.
With the purpose to offer a better service to our customers and to be able to identify the problems that affect our sector, port branches have been established in order to give support where operations and many shipping problems take place.
AMANAC is at the forefront providing several services, counting with qualified staff in its headquarters and branch offices. Not only our members can access such services, but also authorities, the educational sector, service providers, maritime/intermodal transport users, or any other person interested in the field.
